Hospital in Central New Jersey with university affiliation needs Emergency Medicine residency-trained and board certified or board eligible (ABEM or ABOEM) physicians. This excellent facility has an Emergency Medicine residency program as well as fellowship program, toxicology and active clinical research programs. Clinical responsibilities include working assigned shifts providing direct patient care to patients, coordination of care of all patients across the ED and management of the flow of support staff. Teaching responsibilities will involve teaching medical students, Emergency Medicine residents as well as other residents (Family Medicine and Psychiatry) and Physician Assistant students. Research responsibilities include completing all required CITI training courses, completing IRB proposals and other pre-award forms in accordance with research guidelines as well as grant proposal completion, study proposal completion, write up, statistical analyses etc. Administrative responsibilities include attending monthly department meetings, attending assigned committee meetings including dissemination of required information as a result of meeting; maintaining all required CME either by attending on line courses, national or regional conferences, reading journals etc.; completing all Ethics & Compliance Training requirements, completing medical record documentation on timely basis, maintaining professional licenses etc.
This excellent university hospital is a level I trauma and comprehensive stroke center which evaluates and treats over 70,000 visits/year. The hospital serves as the principal teaching affiliate. An Emergency Department Observation Unit is scheduled to open in 2013. Emergency Department has Hospital situated in great location between New York City and Philadelphia.
